Rashunda is holding things down in Switzerland with her Soul Sister in Switzerland blog.
Here is her impressive background:
Rashunda Tramble is a media veteran with over two decades of experience in the industry. She made her television debut at the age of 14 as a teen reporter for WMC-TV’s “Wake Up Call” in Memphis, Tennessee.
Six years later, after the news director of WDIA-AM witnessed her give the then-president of her university a tongue lashing at a banquet, she was tapped to host her own weekly radio talk show on WDIA’s sister station WHRK-FM, “Let’s Talk About It.”
She worked at KJMS-FM in Memphis as news director and at WQMG-FM in Greensboro, North Carolina as production manager and disc jockey. Tramble then signed on at Fox 8 WGHP-TV in High Point, North Carolina. There, she worked as a news producer before going in front of the camera as the “What’s Happening” reporter.
During her time at Fox 8, Tramble not only reported, but produced her own stories. She interviewed a vast array of people including activists Gloria Steinem and Angela Davis, former New York City mayor Ed Koch, National Public Radio’s Tavis Smiley, Grammy winning rap artist Queen Latifah, NBA star Grant Hill and sex therapist Dr Ruth Westheimer. She won two awards from the North Carolina chapter of the Associated Press: Rookie of the Year and Best Feature Report.
Tramble now works as an editor for a news service at a Zurich-based international relations think tank.
She is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists, the Radio and Television News Directors Association, the Online News Association and Mensa International.
